My Story

Hey there!

My name is Emily and Iā€™m the founder of Beautique Lashes!Ā

Welcome!Ā
Iā€™m so thrilled that youā€™ve found me!Ā
I like to think of myself as an OG Lash Artist in Geelong when it comes to lashes; Iā€™ve been in the trade for 7 years this year and have successfully manoeuvred my business for theĀ past 5+ years!Ā
Iā€™m extremely passionate and always striving to be/do the B E S T !!

Iā€™ve created a luxurious home studio, with an amazingly cosy bed, soft finishes throughout the room and a range of retail items for you to indulge in.Ā
I strive to give you the lashes or brows of your dreams- I complete a thorough consultation upon your arrival to ensure weā€™re both on the same page when it comes to the end result; I focus on sustainable lashing which means I will not put a lash extension on a natural lash that cannot hold a certain amount- therefore you can wear lashes for a long time- not a short time Ā

The Beauty industry has always been my absolute passion! My whole childhood I grew up wanting to be a hairdresser. I loveeedddd playing with other peopleā€™s hair in primary school and cried when my sister cut our Bratz dolls hair off... passionate much.Ā šŸ˜‚

In year 10, I decided to complete a VETIS course in hairdressing, I worked in multiple salons and ended up hating it.Ā šŸ˜© I still had 2 years left of school and I knew that I wanted to finish school, so I proceeded to do VCAL and enrolled in a Certificate 3 of Beauty Therapy course.

The first year we did makeup, and the second year was waxing, tanning and nails! I loved the waxing side of this course the best!

After I graduated high school, I decided to complete my Diploma of Beauty Therapy through the Gordon here in Geelong. I learnt so many amazing skills, from massage and other spa treatments to more in depth learning about the skin, waxing and lashes, just to name a few topics.

I was working at a supermarket at the time in both registers and in the deli, but just after I graduated we got some news that the supermarket was closing! So I had to find a job.Ā Pronto.

I typed up a resume and applied for 1 job on Seek, which was a high end salon in Prahan, Melbourne doing lashes. The next morning I woke up to a phone call and they wanted me in for an interview!Ā Woohoooo!!

I took a model there and did some lashes on her, showed off my lash tattoo... and got the job!

Here I worked at an incredible high end salon focusing on classic lashes, brows and was taught lash lifting and Russian Volume lashes! The clientele I serviced there was incredible, we lashed the RHWOM, stars from the Block and also Married at First Site!

Shortly after getting the job, I fell pregnant, so my partner and I moved back to Geelong to be closer to friends and family for when the baby was born.

In March 2018, we welcomed our first born, Hudson!

In July 2018, I decided to start my own business offering lashes from home, and boy oh boy itā€™s been an amazing journey so far!

Amongst the hectic year that was 2020, I introduced my second baby to the world, Logan!

I have made some amazing connections through my business and met so many amazing clients. I am so so thrilled every time someone rebooks an appointment with me or shops my online store, it makes me do a little happy dance!!Ā

Iā€™m so proud of myself for how far I have come in such a short amount of time since starting my own business!

Eyelash Extensions are definitely my favourite thing about the beauty industry and I canā€™t wait to see where this journey takes me! I have BIIIG plans for Beautique Lashes, so watch this space!

I hope youā€™ve learnt a fact or 2 about me and I've helped put a little behind the scenes type scenario in your head, that a real person is sitting here on the other end of the internet! I look forward to servicing you in the future!
